It lowers your bill while you sleep
Tell SunGrid what electricity costs you and when — cheap at night, expensive at 7pm, different in summer than in winter, different on Sundays. Set it up once on a simple visual calendar.
From then on, it plans your battery hour by hour. It charges when power is cheap and the sun is coming. It saves that energy for the expensive hours instead of buying from the grid. It checks tomorrow's sunshine forecast before deciding.
You don't have to do anything. You just stop paying peak prices.
And it's careful with your equipment: before it takes over, it writes down every setting your installer configured. Turn it off, and everything goes back exactly as it was.
Tell your system what to do — without writing code
Drag a few boxes together on screen and connect them with lines. That's it. That's the rule.
Things people actually set up:
- Run the boiler only when the sun is producing more than the house is using
- Switch off the pool pump when the battery drops below 40%
- Start the generator automatically if the battery gets critically low overnight
- Turn on a heater in the camper only between 6am and 8am, and only if it's below 5°C
You can test any rule before you switch it on, so nothing surprises you. And if the system ever restarts unexpectedly, it puts everything back into a safe state on its own.
You'll know before it becomes a problem
The grid went down. The battery is nearly empty. The battery is running hot. The generator started. The water tank is low. Your inverter reported a fault. Your system stopped talking.
SunGrid tells you — on screen, and on your phone through email, WhatsApp, Telegram, Discord or Teams. You choose which alerts are worth waking you up at 3am and which can wait until morning.
Just ask it
There's a built-in assistant you can talk to in plain Romanian, English or German. "How much did I export last week?" "Show me battery temperature against outside temperature." "Why did the generator start last night?"
It can build you a new chart just from a sentence. And if you ever ask it to actually change something on your system, it stops and asks you to confirm first. It never touches your equipment on its own.

Works with what you already have
Victron (Cerbo GX), Huawei, Fronius, Deye, Solis, Atess and WAGO systems. Solarman loggers. Plus Tuya and Sonoff smart plugs and switches — and those can work entirely over your home Wi-Fi, without their cloud, if you prefer.

Built to be genuinely secure
Your home energy system controls real hardware. We treat it that way.
- Sign in with your face or fingerprint. Passkeys mean no password to steal. Prefer a password? Add a code from your authenticator app or your email as a second lock.
- Your passwords and personal details are scrambled before they're stored. If someone physically walked off with the drive, they'd get unreadable noise.
- The encryption isn't homemade. We build on cryptography that has been independently tested and validated to FIPS 140-3 — the standard the US government requires for protecting sensitive systems. You can check it's active on your own machine at any time.
- Every part of the system proves who it is. The pieces inside SunGrid don't simply trust each other — they verify each other over encrypted connections, every time.
- You control who sees what. Give family members a view-only account. Give your installer access to settings. Sign a lost phone out remotely, from anywhere.
- Nothing happens in the dark. Every change anyone makes is written to a permanent record — who, what, when.
- Kept clean. The software ships stripped down to the bare minimum, digitally signed so you know it's genuinely ours, and continuously checked for newly discovered security flaws.
Your data stays in your home. Full stop.
We can't sell your energy data. Not because we promise not to — because we never receive it.
Most energy apps work by shipping everything your system does to a company server, where it's stored, analysed and often shared. SunGrid doesn't work that way. Every reading is written to the little computer sitting in your own house. It never travels anywhere else.
The only thing that ever reaches us is a check that your licence is valid — which machine it's running on and which version you have. No energy readings. No personal details. No notes. Everything else that talks to the outside world — the sunshine forecast, the weather, your alerts — is yours to switch off whenever you like.
Your internet goes down? Everything keeps running. The licence is remembered locally for a full day, and your system doesn't need us to work.
Even the AI stays home. The assistant is set up to run on your own machine out of the box. Your questions and your system's details never leave the building. If you'd rather use a cloud AI service, you can switch it on yourself — but it's off unless you choose it.
And you can walk away with everything. Export your entire setup with one click. The database is yours — copy it, back it up, move it to another machine. Nothing is locked inside someone else's account.
