Your SunGrid Portal licence lets you run the software forever. This subscription is what keeps it getting better. Think of it like the servicing plan for a car: the car is yours either way, but the yearly service is what keeps it safe, fast and up to date.

What you get for a full year

• Four major updates a year. We ship a new release roughly every three months, so you are never running last year's software.
• New features. Everything we build during the year — new dashboards, charts, reports, automation and device support — reaches your system automatically. You never pay extra for a feature released while your subscription is active.
• Security updates. We patch security issues as they are discovered, so your energy system and your data stay protected.
• Bug fixes. If something misbehaves, we fix it and the fix comes to you — no reinstall, no extra cost.
• Improvements. Faster screens, clearer graphs, smarter alerts. Continuous refinement every release, driven by what real users ask for.
• Device compatibility. Inverter, battery, meter and smart-device manufacturers change their software all the time. We keep SunGrid Portal talking to your hardware when they do.
• Support for questions about updates, upgrades and setup.

What happens if I don't subscribe?

Nothing breaks. You keep using the version you bought, for as long as you like. But it stays exactly as it is today: no new features, no security patches, no fixes, and no updates when a hardware manufacturer changes something on their side.

How it works

1. You buy the subscription for your installation.
2. Your system is activated for 12 months — nothing to install, nothing to configure.
3. Updates arrive on their own throughout the year. You just see the improvements.
